Sign Up For a Demo of FRC Record Center
We want to make sure that you have a solid understanding of FRC Record Center
and how it works. We are providing free online demonstrations so you can see
the application in action, and ask questions directly to a FRC Record Center
representative. Joining a demo is easy. Just send an
email requesting a demonstration, and we will email you back a schedule
of dates and times, along with the demo ID number and conference call phone
number. The only thing you need is internet access. No more than 5 people will
be attending any one demo.
How do the demos work?
As soon as you join the demo, you will be looking at the screen of a FRC Record
Center representative. You are provided a conference call phone number to
listen and ask questions as the demo proceeds. The demo is absolutely free. You
will not be charged anything and you are under no obligation to purchase
anything. You may leave the demo at any time.
Can I ask questions and ask to see particular things?
Yes. The demo is run 'live' by a FRC Record Center representative. You will be
watching a live copy of the application being actively used by the
representative. You will be on the telephone with the rep the entire demo. You
can ask whatever questions you wish and the demonstrator will be happy to show
and talk about those areas that interest you.
How long is a demo?
A normal demo takes about 45 minutes. You can join and exit the demo at any
time. No more than 5 people will be attending any one demo.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The demo is absolutely free. You will not be charged anything and you
are under no obligation to purchase anything.
Yes! I want to Join a Demo.
From Carolyn Jones…I am looking forward to meeting you online to demonstrate
the FRC Record Center. There are a few points I want to make sure that you
understand before we schedule a demo. I know your time is valuable and I do not
want to waste it by showing you information on a program you do not want or
need.
-
This program is for the institution that has or wants in-house storage and does
not outsource their records to vendors.
-
The program contains the title of record and the retention period for each.
(Many aspects of the program can be customized to fit your record titles and
retention needs.) You will choose the record you are storing in your box and
the system will calculate the retention period and give you the destruction
information, i.e., the date of scheduled destruction, when to send an
authorization to dispose and how to track the boxes you have destroyed. The
database will allow you to track the records/boxes you have in storage and know
when, where, why and how you disposed of that record/box, should litigation
ever happen.
-
You or your staff will be responsible for the data entry of the contents of all
the boxes that you have in your storage area. This may, depending on how many
boxes you have, take a week or two of data input. Once this is complete you
will have a log of all your information and you will be able to destroy records
in a timely and efficient manner, plus log in new boxes and have complete
control of the size of your records area.
-
The program costs $4,950.00 and comes with one license and support for 30 days.
After that, an $80.00 per hour charge for support will apply. Updates of the
schedule(s) are included for one year; after that renewal charges for updates
are: federal $400.00, state(s) $200.00 each.
